WHAT a great night for the Sharks!
GWS had not won a game on the futsal court since February - a run of 20 league matches (excluding walkovers) without a victory.
Yet through everything, the Sharks continued to give their all, fulfilling all their fixtures and never giving up.
Tonight they beat arch rivals Stone Army even though half the team are fasting for Ramadan.
All hail the Sharks - they launched their jaws and applied the big bite!
This was a must-win game for GWS as had they lost they would have gone bottom of the league for the first time in memory.
Despite half the team fasting this didn't stop the girls from battling.
Stone Army managed to push the first goal in but the Sharks did the talking after as they led 4-1 by half time.
Vicky scored one, Camilla two and Janelle one.
Going into the second half Aisha and Dee worked well throughout and Camilla completed her hat-trick before Vicky netted her second.
Final result 6-2 GwSharks!!!!!
