GOOD IN ATTACK - LACKING IN DEFENCE

GREAT WHITE SHARKS 5 (Janelle 2, Camilla, Aisha, Vicky)
BIRMINGHAM FUTSAL CLUB LADIES ELITE 13
BIRMINGHAM LADIES FUTSAL LEAGUE - JULY 16, 2014

SHARKS came up against much higher-level opposition this week.
The team did not require just power but also tactics - and this is where they missed out.
The end of the first half saw the Sharks 7-2 down with Camilla and Janelle scoring.
Both were very good goals from players who looked threatening throughout.
In the second half GWS pushed on, battling hard. They only lost this half 6-3 for a final score of 13-5.
Aisha, Vicky and Janelle cashed in with unstoppable goals with good support from Dee.
Salma said: "Decent effort tonight girls, enough to get a respectable score, even though at times we know we could've picked up the pace and bring the force forward.
"Instead we lacked defence, communication and attitude to win tonight. This reflects the scores because we all know it wasn't such a tough game, it was more about making the right decisions and keeping on top.
"Good for goal difference, though! We battled throughout but we know we need to play from start to finish not have short outbursts.
"Subbing was the last issue that should be raised at the end of the game - we should focus on our game and ask did we play our part well and if you did regardless of the score well done to you!
"We stick together as a unit - that's what matters more to me because we don't choose to give up we choose to get up and progress!"
