FOUR-SOME DEE LEADS SHARKS REVIVAL

Four-some Dee was in great form

GREAT WHITE SHARKS 9 (Dee 4, Camilla 3, Aisha 2)
THE FLY AWAYS 2
FUTSAL CHAMPIONSHIP - NOVEMBER 29, 2014

SUPER Dilara Begum brought back memories of her days as a striker as she scored four goals in a convincing Sharks win tonight.
If GWS beat ABCDE FC next Wednesday they will win the Championship.
Any other result and FC Ballers are likely to take the title.
After losing so badly to the Ballers last week, the Sharks needed to put things right and they did in style.
Sharks got straight down to business wasting no time in tackling the task in hand.
A few early shots almost had the opponents in front but tonight the league leaders' fitness was better, allowing more consistent passes and superior on target shooting.
It was 5-0 at half time, with Dee pushing in three and Camilla once again making wise moves by stealing possession and scoring two goals.
The second half was just as good, all players utilising their skills.
Hameeda came very close to finding the net whilst Aisha using her strength and height scored twice.
Camilla ended the match using her useful touch to complete a hat-trick and Dee added her fourth.
Salma said: "Superb work tonight team! Loved the powerplay with a complete team effort, Can't fault nothing that's how good the performance was.
"Three great points and now it's on to our final game next week. Proud Sharks!"

SHARKS ARE TOOTHLESS

GREAT WHITE SHARKS 1 (Camilla)
FC BALLERS 13
FUTSAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP - NOV 19, 2014

SHARKS could have won the league with victory over the Ballers on Wednesday night - but they failed miserably.
On the night it was the Ballers who totally dominated and deserved the result.
Camilla scored the only goal for the Sharks and the less said about the team's performance the better.
This result needs the Sharks needing to win their last two games against The Fly Aways (Nov 26) and ABCDE FC (December 3) to lift the league title.

Sharks also played ABCDE FC in a friendly and won 5-4. Aisha and Camilla scored two each and Dee one.

CHANCE OF TITLE GLORY

WITH just three matches left this season Great White Sharks have given themselves a great chance of being crowned champions of the Birmingham Ladies Futsal League Championship.
If the Sharks beat second-placed FC Ballers next Wednesday, they will win the title.
However, even if they draw or lose against the Ballers, Sharks will still lift the championship if they win their final two games against The Fly Aways (Nov 26) and ABCDE FC (Dec 3).
Even if they take just four points from their last three matches and Ballers take all nine, Sharks still have a good chance of winning the title on goal difference as their record is currently +22 better than the Ballers.
It has been a good response from the Sharks following their relegation from the Premiership last season.

FIVE FOR CAMILLA IN A 7-0 BLITZ!

GREAT WHITE SHARKS 7 (Camilla 5, Farzana, Aisha)
REDDITCH LADIES 0

Ladies Futsal League - Season 3 2014 - Championship

SHARKS retained their place at the top of the Championship after recording their first on-court victory (excluding walkovers) since early October.
Not only that, the Sharks also kept a clean sheet and it is believed this is the first time they have achieved this in their history.
Star of the show was Camilla Rehman with a five-goal salvo.
Long-serving player Camilla has scored in the region of 100 goals for the Sharks over the past four years and tonight she was at her best.
Sharks' 60-goal top scorer Vicky was unavailable this evening, but there was still enough power in the team to register a big win.
Tonight brought Sharks' first-ever meeting with league newcomers Redditch and in came defensive stalwart Farzana for the absent Vicky.
A settled start saw GWS work their way through the Redditch defence and the passing was good.
It was 4-0 at half time, a hat-trick coming from Camilla, who stayed up front constantly to keep pressure on the Redditch goal.
Farzana also tackled her way into the Redditch half to score a well-deserved goal - always 100% from this excellent player.
The second half the Sharks avoided being sandwiched by two opponents each tume they were in possession and focused more on finding space.
Camilla netted another two, assisted by Aisha and Dee.
A good finish by Aisha produced the last goal, a tribute to her persistence and skill.
Salma said after the game: "Good effort tonight team!
"It always takes time getting into momentum when playing a new opponent and with players you don't usually play with.
"Nevertheless, when we got moving in the first half in the final two minutes we scored four goals and held it well together in the second half, scoring three more and keeping a clean sheet.
"Well done all and well done Camilla for getting your fiver!"

SHARKS WIN ON WALKOVER - STILL TOP

GREAT WHITE SHARKS 8 KINGS HEATHENS 0 (FUTSAL CHAMPIONSHIP - WALKOVER)
GREAT WHITE SHARKS 3 (Dee, Aisha, Vicky) UNDER-ESTIMATED 9 (FRIENDLY)

WITH scheduled league opponents Kings Heathens failing to show up, the points and an 8-0 victory were awarded to the Sharks.
With the possibility of the Championship being decided on goal difference come the end of the season, this outcome did not necessarily work out in Sharks's favour, as on past form they could have been Kings by more than eight.
Instead, Sharks faced Premiership leaders Under-Estimated in a friendly.
In what could have been a one-sided game, Championship leaders Sharks showed fireworks when required on Bonfire Night.
The first half display from GWS was average, Dee mastering her way through to score a well-deserved goal, but at the interval it was 5-1 to UE.
The second half was more lively and competitive from a Sharks point of view.
A poor display by the goalkeeper allowed the score to move to 7-1, but then Aisha showed ace skills to dodge her way through to score.
Scoring off a header at a crucial moment allowed the Sharks to bounce up. Vicky pushed in another splendid goal.
Both Dee and Vicky were inches away from scoring and Aisha's disallowed goal didn't help even though it was advantage to the Sharks. Final score 3-9.
Because of what seems a very unfair rule to have the Premiership and Championship leaders playing off for the futsal finals in London, Sharks could face UE again soon.
The Sharks will need to be better than they were on Wednesday if they are to cause a huge upset.
