SHARKS WIN ON WALKOVER - STILL TOP

GREAT WHITE SHARKS 8 KINGS HEATHENS 0 (FUTSAL CHAMPIONSHIP - WALKOVER)
GREAT WHITE SHARKS 3 (Dee, Aisha, Vicky) UNDER-ESTIMATED 9 (FRIENDLY)

WITH scheduled league opponents Kings Heathens failing to show up, the points and an 8-0 victory were awarded to the Sharks.
With the possibility of the Championship being decided on goal difference come the end of the season, this outcome did not necessarily work out in Sharks's favour, as on past form they could have been Kings by more than eight.
Instead, Sharks faced Premiership leaders Under-Estimated in a friendly.
In what could have been a one-sided game, Championship leaders Sharks showed fireworks when required on Bonfire Night.
The first half display from GWS was average, Dee mastering her way through to score a well-deserved goal, but at the interval it was 5-1 to UE.
The second half was more lively and competitive from a Sharks point of view.
A poor display by the goalkeeper allowed the score to move to 7-1, but then Aisha showed ace skills to dodge her way through to score.
Scoring off a header at a crucial moment allowed the Sharks to bounce up. Vicky pushed in another splendid goal.
Both Dee and Vicky were inches away from scoring and Aisha's disallowed goal didn't help even though it was advantage to the Sharks. Final score 3-9.
Because of what seems a very unfair rule to have the Premiership and Championship leaders playing off for the futsal finals in London, Sharks could face UE again soon.
The Sharks will need to be better than they were on Wednesday if they are to cause a huge upset.
