ROADRUNNER GOES NAP AS SHARKS EDGE A TIGHT WIN

Goal machine Vicky scored FIVE

GREAT WHITE SHARKS 7 (Vicky Roe 5, Aisha Bi, Dilara Raeesah)
THE BEES 6
Joma International Birmingham Ladies Futsal League - June 5, 2013

GOAL machine Vicky "Roadrunner" Roe netted five times as the Sharks pipped rivals The Bees in a close contest.
GWS started off really well, showing great composure which allowed Aisha to grab the opening goal from close range.
Dee, who was exceptional throughout the match, added a second goal with a real screamer.
Bees earned a corner which was missed by all their players, but the ball found the net off GWS player Saddi, making it an own goal.
The end of the first half saw the Sharks leading 2-1.
The second half began with Vicky knocking in her first of the night.
A substitution was made which unsettled the Sharks a little and this allowed the Bees to score.
Vicky kept on scoring, bagging another four goals, but The Bees did not lie down and kept in touch at 7-5 entering the closing stages.
The Bees then netted a late goal to reduce the deficit to one, creating a tension-filled ending.
However, the Sharks kept strong with Vicky on fire and Saddi taking control. Young Aisha and Dee also kept the ball well.
Sharks held on for their first on court win of the season (their previous victory was on a walkover).
Captain Salma said after the game: "Only a great effort allowed for a great result tonight - however next time we can't let things get too close!"
The win moved Sharks up two places in the table and next week they face a tough test against Under Estimated.
Team: Salma, Dee, Vicky, Aisha, Saddi and Becky.
