SHARKS BEAT ELITE ON A WALKOVER

GREAT WHITE SHARKS 8
BIRMINGHAM FUTSAL ELITE LADIES 0
(walkover)
NATIONAL WOMENS FUTSAL FA CUP QUALIFYING LEAGUE - MARCH 12, 2014

HAVING lost 14-0 to league leaders Birmingham Elite on the opening night of the season, Sharks were expected to suffer another heavy defeat tonight.
However, the Elite failed to show up, so therefore Sharks claimed the 8-0 win!
It again says so much about the Great White Sharks that they turned up to play the table-toppers, showing a loyalty to the league so badly missing in other teams.
Yet again tonight only one of the four matches was played. It is pathetic and is making the whole competition a mockery. The Sharks deserve better than this.
Nonetheless, with three points in the bag, it was the perfect night to get in some vital practice and play two friendlies.
In the first game against Stone Army, Sharks lost 6-2, Vicky scoring both goals.
GWS then took on Birmingham Futsal Club Ladies and were beaten 7-2, Aisha and Vicky on target.
Salma said: "The Sharks worked very well tonight, giving it time to gel and practice.
"After both games the Sharks were satisfied with their performance and knowing they meet Stone Army next week in the league, the Sharks are back in business."
Sharks Team: Salma, Hameeda, Dee, Aisha & Vicky.
