SHARKS LOSE THEIR BITE

GREAT WHITE SHARKS 1 (Vicky)
UNDER ESTIMATED 9
Joma International Birmingham Ladies Futsal League Championship - March 6, 2013
AFTER four straight wins Sharks' fine run came to an end at the hands of potential champions Under Estimated on Wednesday night.
GWS kept up a good pace throughout, but were unable to match their opponents in the finishing stakes.
The Sharks started quite well, and were only 2-1 down at one stage with Vicky scoring her 19th goal of the season, but by half time the score was 6-1.
In the second half the girls continued to work hard, but the referee did not give many decisions the Sharks' way and it ended up 9-1.
Goalkeeper Salma said after the game: "Hard luck tonight girls, but we kept the game at the same pace as them. However, a slight few mistakes on my behalf cost us the game.
"It was an unlucky result of 1-9 in the end, but we know we can come much stronger and we've proven it before.
"Success is like ABC - Ability, Breaks and now Courage to fight back again - well done."
This was Sharks first loss in five games and they have nothing to be ashamed of.
Under Estimated will probably win the title and they are the only team to beat the Sharks heavily this season.
Next week the Sharks play top of the table Birmingham Futsal Ladies Club B.
GWS have already beaten this team 3-2 this season and they will have to do so again to keep their hopes alive of grabbing second place.
Sharks are having their best season yet, helped by the goals of the brilliant Vicky, and they will be determined to bounce back next Wednesday.
