WALKOVER LEAGUE WIN - NARROW FRIENDLY DEFEAT

GREAT WHITE SHARKS 8
VACANCY 1 LADIES 0
(BIRMINGHAM LADIES FUTSAL LEAGUE - WALKOVER)

GREAT WHITE SHARKS 4 (Aisha 2, Vicky, Hameeda)
STONE ARMY 6
(FRIENDLY)

SHARKS had a walkover win in the league, which got them off the bottom, so they took on old friends Stone Army in a friendly.
GWS started off well, no room for error, and Sharks played up to similar standards set in previous matches.
Camilla, coming back tonight, settled in well, making good passes and keeping the ball out of danger. Hameeda was brilliant yet again - making space and hitting fine passes.
Stone scored before Hameeda found a great goal to level, hammering straight into the net leaving the GK wondering where she appeared from!
StoneArmy got ahead from a short move, GK Salma not getting out early enough.
However, Aisha replied, making a turn on her header and scoring whilst being held back by three opponents.
Dee was on fire tonight, taking headers and cutting out strong passes and shots. Alert at all times, she pushed the team along.
HALF-TIME: 2-2
Goal of the night was definitely down to our RoadRunner who smashed in a bullet on the volley - the ball clearly looking as if it went in through the wall in the back!!
Stone got themselves 5-3 after, leaving GWS chasing the game.
Aisha finally scored her goal off the side shot which she attempted all night.
FINAL SCORE: 4-6.
Sharks were satisfied with the performance, an own goal by Hameeda wasn't an issue - just a minor mistake.
Salma said: "At least this was the night to get out all the rusty business before the next following matches. Good game tonight Sharks!!
"We kept them quiet, brilliant passes. positive mindset. We only argue about getting more game play, so it's only fair we all play six minutes or you put your hand up to taking a quick break for the team! "This was a friendly so we got away with a few errors - not again."
NEXT week - a really tough game against leaders Real Noidea, who thrashed Under Estimated this week! Sharks will really need to raise their game to test this exciting new team.
