SHARKS came so close to their second win of the season last night against old rivals Birmingham B.
GWS were leading 2-1 before Bham equalised with just 60 seconds remaining.
A big plus for the Sharks was the debut of Saddi Shan, who plays for West Midlands Regional League Premier Division team Solihull Ladies.
Saddi is a top prospect and GWS are delighted to have her on board.
Aisha Bi maintained her fine record of scoring by netting the first for the Sharks while the goal machine that is Vicky Roe grabbed the second.
Team captain Salma Bi said after the match: "This was a strong battle - futsal on the edge.
"Just a draw in the end, but a top battle. Saddi's debut for us was good to see."
This result sees the Sharks lie one off the bottom, but next week they are home to basement side The Bees, so perhaps a chance for our girls to get some welcome points, but it is always a difficult game against the Buzzers.
